Responsibilities

• Design atomic database tables in the Enterprise Data Repository (EDR) as part of the MIS Development team.
• Map data transformations from staging tables to atomic EDR database structures.
• Build and maintain meta-data so source data can be traced through to the data marts built from the EDR.
• Gather user requirements for data marts.
• Design star schemas for enterprise data views of the EDR.

Technology Used

Oracle Designer, Microsoft Office on Windows NT, TOAD, PL/SQL, ERwin.

Major Achievements

• Captured and managed metadata for a large data warehouse project.
• Designed base Oracle database table design for over 300 data tables.
• Wrote, edited and published 120-page reference data dictionary of Enterprise Data Repository.
• Wrote, edited and published 30-page Getting Started with EDR manual.
• Wrote, edited and published 16-page EDR Architecture booklet.
